February at Solent Cliffs was filled with music, laughter, and special moments shared between residents, families, and staff, creating a warm and lively atmosphere throughout the home.

Live music and entertainment
We were delighted to welcome several talented singers who provided fantastic entertainment for our residents. Before long, everyone was joining in—singing along, clapping to the rhythm, and even showing off a few dance moves.
Families, friends, and staff joined in the fun too, with a few friendly dance-offs that had everyone smiling and cheering.
Valentine’s Day celebrations
Love was certainly in the air as we celebrated Valentine’s Day. Residents enjoyed spending time with their partners, as well as sharing the day with family and friends.
Our activities team created a beautiful Valentine’s display filled with balloons, flowers, and thoughtful gifts, helping to create a warm and joyful atmosphere across the home. It was wonderful to see so many smiles and meaningful moments shared together.

Baking fun in the kitchen
The kitchen was a busy and happy place this month, with residents getting involved in a variety of baking sessions. From sweet pastries to delicious cheesy pizzas, there were plenty of tasty treats to enjoy.
Gerry from Activities, our very own star baker, led the weekly bake-offs, encouraging everyone to join in. Residents rolled up their sleeves, shared laughs, and enjoyed the fruits of their efforts together. We are already looking forward to seeing what creative bakes come next.

A unique birds of prey experience
One of the highlights of the month was our incredible Birds of Prey Day. A specialist visited the home with a selection of magnificent birds, giving residents the opportunity to see these beautiful animals up close.
There were plenty of amazed faces as everyone learned more about the birds and enjoyed this unique and memorable experience. It was a truly special day that sparked excitement and conversation throughout the home.
A visit from a special friend
We were also very happy to welcome back George, our regular PAT dog visitor. George’s gentle nature and friendly cuddles always bring comfort and joy to our residents.
His visits never fail to brighten the day, and it was lovely to see the smiles he brought as he spent time with everyone.
