“We can honestly say that we wholeheartedly agree with the 5-star reviews already given to the home. All the staff from the nurses, carers, activity co-ordinators, domestic and not least catering, are highly capable, proactive, kind and attentive. We were looking for a home that would support my mum’s dementia, incontinence, macular degeneration, worsening mobility issues and increasing nursing requirements. Solent Cliffs is excelling in supporting all of these conditions whilst keeping her safe, engaged and interacting with other residents and staff.”

Medical care
For complex and ongoing health needs or disabilities, our registered nurses are on hand to provide clinical care. They can support with medication, stoma care, wound management, mobility assistance, and monitoring long-term conditions such as diabetes, neurological conditions, and heart disease. These examples are not exhaustive, and care is provided for a wide range of medical conditions based on individual assessed needs.
We take a holistic approach to care, and each new resident’s needs are thoroughly assessed before they arrive. We then create an individual care plan, which details the resident’s personal and medical needs, along with their preferences and any other sensitivities. Our nurses liaise closely with GPs, hospitals, and other healthcare teams to ensure care is coordinated and delivered safely.

Personal care
Our teams are highly trained to offer all sorts of personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, going to the toilet and eating. Help is always provided with patience, dignity, and respect, and residents are encouraged to remain as independent as possible. Assistance is available around-the-clock, so everyone feels safe and confident that help is never far away.
We know that emotional needs are as important as physical and medical needs. Our kind and compassionate staff are always ready to listen, chat and spend time with residents. They encourage socialising and activity, be that a craft session, game, gentle exercise, or simply a cup of tea in the lounge. We aim to make as many meaningful moments as possible, so everyone feels connected and included.

Respite and convalescent care
As well as long-term residential care, some people come to us for a short period to recover from illness, a hospital stay or surgery, or to give family carers a well-deserved rest. At Beneva Care, we offer both respite and convalescent care at Beechwood House and Solent Cliffs Nursing Home (subject to availability) with professional nursing support available 24-hours a day.

A welcoming, supportive and safe environment
Our homes are designed to be comfortable, calm, and reassuring – just like your own home. Each resident has a private bedroom, which they are welcome to furnish with personal items. There is easy access to shared lounges, dining areas, and peaceful outdoor spaces.
We encourage families to visit as often as possible and to remain as involved in their loved one’s care as they wish. Many of our families find that they are able to reconnect with each other on a deeper level once the responsibility for medical and personal care is lifted.
Some nursing care residents are with us for short-term recovery, some for longer-term support, and some live with us permanently. But our goal is always the same: to provide the highest quality care, recognise individuality and help every person live a happy and fulfilled life.

Specialist palliative care
When someone you love is facing a life-limiting or terminal illness, being cared for with genuine compassion and respect is paramount. We offer specialist palliative and end-of-life care to help each valued resident live their final stage in comfort, dignity and peace.
Our nurses can help manage pain, administer medication, and monitor complex symptoms. We work very closely with NHS doctors, social workers, and other professionals to ensure every need is met with continuity and sensitivity. And, of course, our carers are always on hand to help in times of emotional distress.
Just as importantly, we’re here for families too. Our care staff are a comforting presence through what can be an emotional and uncertain time. They are always ready to listen, chat and offer advice, every step of the way.
