June has been another exciting month at our Havant care home, Cross Way House, with residents enjoying a packed programme of entertainment, outings, creative activities, and opportunities to spend time together. From live music and exercise sessions to coffee mornings and themed celebrations, every day has brought something new to enjoy.

Live Entertainment That Brings Everyone Together
Residents thoroughly enjoyed welcoming Rustyn George, who had everyone singing along to a fantastic selection of songs. The room was filled with smiles, applause, and plenty of happy memories.
We were also delighted to welcome back David Pepper, whose performances once again had residents clapping, singing, and dancing together. Chris Buck and Annie Jo also visited the home, bringing fantastic live entertainment that filled the lounge with music, laughter, and joy.
Music continues to play an important role in life at Cross Way House, encouraging social interaction, reminiscing, and creating memorable moments for everyone.
Building Friendships Across Generations
Our regular nursery visits remain one of the highlights of the month.
Watching the children play, chat, and interact with residents brings immense joy to everyone involved. These intergenerational sessions create meaningful connections, encourage conversation, and provide wonderful experiences that are enjoyed by residents, children, and staff alike.

Staying Active with EverActive
Exercise sessions with EverActive were full of energy, laughter, and encouragement.
Residents enjoyed taking part in a variety of gentle exercises designed to promote mobility, confidence, and overall wellbeing. The sessions also encouraged teamwork, with everyone supporting and motivating one another throughout the activities.
Coffee, Cake and Quiz Fun
Our popular coffee morning and quiz brought residents together for a relaxed and sociable gathering.
There was plenty of friendly competition, lots of laughter, and of course, delicious refreshments. Activities like these provide valuable opportunities for conversation, cognitive stimulation, and spending quality time with friends.
A Home Full of Music
Nothing brings people together quite like music, and another lively sing-along session filled the home with familiar tunes and enthusiastic voices.
Whether residents were singing along, clapping to the beat, or enjoying a dance, the atmosphere was full of positivity and happiness throughout the day.

Creative Fun and Themed Celebrations
Who needs Buckingham Palace? Residents had great fun recreating their own Cross Way House version of the famous Changing of the Guard, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone watching.
The celebrations continued with our very own Last Night at the Proms, where residents proudly waved flags, sang patriotic favourites, and enjoyed an afternoon full of music, celebration, and community spirit.
With football fever in the air, residents also designed their own football shirts, showcasing plenty of creativity and some fantastic artistic flair.
A Wonderful Outing to Boswells
A visit to Boswells for coffee and cake proved to be a real treat.
Even the weather couldn’t dampen spirits as residents enjoyed spending time together outside the home. The coffee was delicious, the cakes were thoroughly enjoyed, and most importantly, everyone had the chance to socialise, laugh, and create more happy memories together.
Looking Ahead to More Special Moments
It has been another wonderful month filled with music, friendship, creativity, and memorable experiences at Cross Way House.
We look forward to creating even more exciting activities, outings, and celebrations in the weeks ahead while continuing to provide meaningful experiences that support wellbeing and bring joy to our residents every day.
