July has been another fun-filled month at Cross Way House in Havant, with residents enjoying summer outings, fantastic entertainment, special visitors, and plenty of opportunities to spend quality time together.
From ice creams in the sunshine to welcoming new entertainers and celebrating friendship, there have been plenty of happy moments and wonderful memories made throughout the month.
Summer Sunshine and Ice Cream in the Park
What better way to enjoy the summer sunshine than with a trip to the local park for an ice cream?
Residents enjoyed getting out into the fresh air, relaxing in the warm weather, and, of course, treating themselves to a delicious ice cream. The outing provided a lovely opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery, spend time together, and make the most of the beautiful summer weather.
Sometimes, the simplest outings really do make the loveliest memories!
Welcoming New Entertainer Kassie
We were delighted to welcome a brand-new entertainer, Kassie, to Cross Way House this month – and she was an instant hit!
Residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance, with plenty of singing, smiling, and joining in. Live music always creates a wonderful atmosphere at the home, bringing residents together and providing opportunities to enjoy familiar songs and happy memories.
After such a fantastic first visit, we’re sure this won’t be the last time we see Kassie!
An Afternoon of Entertainment with Bernie
We also welcomed another new entertainer, Bernie, who treated everyone to a wonderful afternoon of music and entertainment.
Residents had a fantastic time listening to the performance and enjoying each other’s company. It was another lively afternoon filled with music, conversation, and plenty of smiles.
Special Moments with Our Nursery Friends
Our friends from the local nursery joined residents for lunch, bringing lots of smiles and conversation to Cross Way House.
It was wonderful to see the different generations spending time together, chatting, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company.
Our regular intergenerational activities continue to create meaningful connections between residents and the children, with these special visits always eagerly anticipated by everyone at the home.
Celebrating International Friendship Day
Friendship was certainly worth celebrating this month!
To mark International Friendship Day, we held a special coffee morning followed by a fun-filled quiz. Residents teamed up, put their knowledge to the test, and enjoyed a little friendly competition along the way.
There was plenty of discussion, laughter, and teamwork as everyone worked together to find those all-important answers.
