A Month Full of Fun and Entertainment
April has been bursting with energy, entertainment, and unforgettable moments at Cross Way House, with residents enjoying a fantastic month packed full of music, friendship, and laughter.

A Wonderful Visit from David Pepper
One of the biggest highlights of the month was welcoming back the wonderful David Pepper, whose visits always bring smiles to everyone’s faces. Residents and staff sang, danced, and enjoyed a truly uplifting afternoon together.
David looked incredibly smart in his Beefeater uniform and, as always, created a brilliant feel-good atmosphere throughout the home.
Music and Community Spirit
The talented Wacky Wednesdays Ukulele Band also visited this month, filling the home with music, laughter, and plenty of toe-tapping fun. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance, and it made the afternoon even more special knowing the group kindly donates their fee to Rowans Hospice, supporting an important local cause.
Enjoying the Sunshine with Nursery Friends
With the warmer weather arriving, residents spent quality time outdoors with the nursery children, sharing smiles and laughter while playing games such as Ring a Ring o’ Roses.
These intergenerational activities always bring joy to everyone involved and create wonderful shared memories.
Keeping Active and Feeling Pampered
Residents also enjoyed energetic exercise sessions with EverActive, helping everyone stay active and engaged.
Pamper afternoons were another popular activity this month, with carers painting residents’ nails and helping everyone feel relaxed, glamorous, and cared for.
Games, Creativity and Friendly Competition
Family quiz time brought out everyone’s competitive side, creating lots of teamwork, laughter, and fun throughout the home.
The newly requested colouring by numbers sessions — suggested during the monthly residents’ meeting — have also quickly become a firm favourite among residents.

Music, Dancing and Smiles All Around
To top off an already amazing month, Annie Jo visited and kept everyone entertained with music, dancing, and interactive fun, ensuring there was never a dull moment at Cross Way House.
Creating Happy Memories Together
It has truly been a month full of happiness, music, sunshine, and special memories shared by residents, staff, families, and friends.
