The plan is regularly monitored and updated, and can be accessed at any time through our online portal.
Nursing care
As a specialist nursing home, Solent Cliffs has all the comforts of a residential home with the added reassurance of registered nurses on site 24 hours a day. They can support complex medical needs, including medication management, stoma care, wound management, mobility assistance, and clinical monitoring of long-term conditions like diabetes and heart disease.
Our nurses work closely with GPs, community services and families to ensure the highest standards of care are always met.
Residential Care
Solent Cliffs is a residential care home for older people who can no longer live safely in their own homes. Each resident has their own room, with all meals provided. Our care staff work around the clock, providing support and personal care, including washing, dressing and eating, if required.
Beyond care needs, our staff offer essential companionship, and nothing is too much trouble. We actively encourage socialising, even if it’s just a shared meal or a cup of tea and a chat. We also gently encourage participation in our many organised activities.

As well as keeping our residents comfortable and managing their pain, we’re here to support emotional wellbeing. This is naturally a difficult time for families, and we are here to offer guidance, reassurance and a friendly ear, especially during bereavement.
Respite Care
Subject to availability, we can offer short-term residential care for a minimum of two weeks. This might be following a hospital stay or to give family members or carers a well-earned break. However long they are with us, our respite residents receive the same high standard of personalised care as long-term residents, with full access to nursing support, comfortable accommodation and daily activities.

Accommodation and facilities
At Solent Cliffs, we have focused on creating a warm, homely environment. You will find bright, spacious rooms, a stunning conservatory, and well-maintained gardens, creating a calm, restorative atmosphere.
Private bedrooms
Our bedrooms are private havens in which to rest and relax. Most are single occupancy, with double rooms available on request. Each room is fully furnished, with a television, and many have en-suite facilities.
Although already furnished, we actively encourage residents to bring along belongings or small items of furniture to personalise the space and make it feel more like home.
Communal areas
The home is spread across the main house and the annexe, and includes various communal spaces. These include a comfortable lounge for quiet relaxation and a bright conservatory where residents and visitors can enjoy the sea views together.
The garden
Our gardens wrap around the front and side of the home, with gorgeous greenery and space to enjoy the sea air. During the warmer months, our patio furniture offers a welcoming place to sit for moments of quiet reflection or time with friends and family.
