June has been a fantastic month at our care home, Beechwood House in Rowland’s Castle, packed with fun, laughter, and memorable moments. From singing our hearts out to celebrating the beauty of summer flowers, there has been something for everyone to enjoy.
It has been wonderful to see residents spending time together, sharing smiles, making memories, and embracing everything the month had to offer.
A Joyful Sing-Along with Phil
One of the highlights of the month was the return of our much-loved sing-along session with Phil.
The lounge was soon filled with music as residents sang along to favourite classics, clapped to the beat, and even enjoyed a little dance. Music has a wonderful way of bringing people together, sparking treasured memories and encouraging everyone to join in.
The session was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of happy moments, reminding us all of the positive impact that music has on wellbeing.
Celebrating the Beauty of Flowers
Our monthly theme day was a colourful celebration of all things floral.
Beechwood House was transformed with beautiful flower displays, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere throughout the home. Residents enjoyed a variety of flower-themed activities, sharing stories about favourite gardens, flowers, and cherished summer memories while embracing the colours and scents of the season.
The day was filled with creativity, conversation, and laughter, bringing everyone together to celebrate the beauty of nature.
